Submit your daily activity using the form on this page. You can submit for up to two points for each day!
Each trip type counts for 1 point each for your team on the activity date you enter.

Rules & Tips
- Participants register under their school name or employer/workplace name. Can create an internal school class/grade/club team or employer department/office team name (optional). Tip: Identify a Team Captain to keep everyone motivated and organized.
- Participants login to view registered team members and edit their registration profiles. Tip: Team Captains check team status regularly to rally support.
- Participants must use active or bus transportation to commute to and/or from work/school within Whitehorse, at least 3 times per week. A point is given for each trip per day, with a maximum of 2 points per participant per day.
- Indoor workouts do not count - only outdoor commuting.
- Eligible activities include: walking, running, cycling (self-powered or electric), rolling - skateboard/scooter/wheelchair (self-powered or electric), taking public transit, and taking school bus.
- Participants can enter more than one activity per day. Leave blank the days with no activity.
- Take a selfie at your destination and submit photo through the Active Commute Whitehorse website: activecommutewhitehorse.ca/active-commuting-year-round (optional).
- Participants login and manually enter their daily trips and activity. Daily entries are encouraged but weekly summaries allowed. Login submissions are open May 1-31, 2025
- A Team Captain can collect and log daily activity on behalf of team members (optional) - for example, a class teacher.
- Participants commit to fair play and honesty. Misreporting or cheating leads to disqualification
Team Leaderboard
- Live updates of the top 3 employer and school teams are shown on the leaderboard on the Active Commute Month challenge webpage during May 1-31, 2025.
- The top participation employer ranking is based on the highest percentage of team members in the employer category who log their trips at least 3 times per week during Active Commute Month
- The top participation school ranking is based on the highest percentage of team members in the school category who log their trips at least 3 times per week during Active Commute Month.
- Participation rate is calculated as the sum of (their team's daily active participant points divided by their team's total members) multiplied by 100 for each week in May.
Prizes
- Each employer and school registered for Active Commute Month receives a window decal to show off their spirit.
- Mid-month prizes including cool reflective zipper-pulls and transit/CGC passes, are based on team participant standings at midnight on Sunday May 11, 2025. Winners will be announced on May 12, 2025.
- Grand prizes including pizza lunches and media shout-outs, are based on team participant standings at midnight on Saturday May 31, 2025. Winners will be announced and awarded between June 2-6, 2025.
